Weak mileage today - only 26 miles. Actually not that bad considering we spent a few hours updating our blog at an internet cafe in Astoria and did not start riding until around 3:30. In the future, hopefully we can do more frequent updates so we don't have so much to do all at once. On our way out of Astoria, we stopped by Josephson's smokehouse and picked up some smoked peppered salmon, prawns, and peppered oysters to have at dinner.

The route from Astoria to Seaside was full of rollers and an awesome descent into Seaside. Very pretty scenery along the way except for the damage left behind from a storm last December that brought hurricane force winds. The route through Seaside took us along the promenade along the beach. Early evening, sun setting, gorgeous. We camped at a private RV campground just south of Seaside, OR. This has been our least favorite campsite so
far. The grass around the campsite was long so it captured the dew and it was very wet. We bought a bundle of wood for a campfire but it wouldn't burn. It was a private campground so was more expensive than state parks - $22/night and the hot showers were even extra.
